By teasing out information from 'change of interest by a major shareholder'.
Over the period of 28 Sept, '21 to last Fri 14 Jan, '22, FMR LLC (Fidelity Management & Research) has bought & sold packages of shares for its clients.

The exchanges of shares amounted to a balance of
-(9,218,348) shares being sold.

This still leaves "Fidelity" with a holding of
55,767,428 ordinary shares and they are still the 3rd largest shareholder.

But Fidelity's trading spree involved the exchange of 22,524,334 shares. Almost half of their holding.

It's important to question as to what influence these trades have had (if any) on the recent LYC share price.

Until about 20th Dec '21 the trades were predominantly 'buys'. From then on, it's been 'sells' @ $9.30 and rising. (FOMO setting in)

The original breakout was around 6th Oct '21 when the price was $6.25 and it has continued to climb to this month where it now sits around $11.20.

So, one might say 'if you took your broker's advice to buy LYC in late September '21 and to sell early January '22, then you might pick up about $5/share'. (83%)

So, on the eve of the quarterly report we receive the Announcement that our third largest shareholder has traded nearly 45% of their own holding as well as reducing it by about 14%. And at the same time selling off about 1% of the Lynas company.

As you know, LYC has 901.1 million shares in the market.

Unless the quarterly results are very positive; then the Announcement will not compensate for the recent sell-off, nearing 1% of the Lynas company's shares.

What is the board thinking?
