Just from experience another comparison is Atlas Iron a few years back, Gina put out a compulsory acquisition, stock was delisted and it took about 12 months before it was taken out at NO premium.
I also sold out at a loss because I couldn't risk a situation whereby the stock delists and I can't get my funds until the takeover complete, may be a few months but could take a year, far too long to have so much capital in limbo.
The markets are too fickle and you need to be very flexible and agile and move money in days not weeks or months, so I opted to bail.
