What you mean is you hate sellers. Sellers are involved in every market transaction. We need them when we wish to buy and we like them when they offer us shares at a price we like. Shorters are just sellers with an obligation to buy again.
If a company wishes to discourage sellers and encourage holders in it's stock it should:
choose large cornerstone investors which understand the business and have long term investment horizons
select management and staff that wish to be owners in the business
act in the interest of shareholders with their capital
offer capital raisings to shareholders on a pro-rata basis
run the company prudently and create value.
not become a public company
Of course the downside of a company with no sellers is no liquidity. If liquidity is a requirement we need sellers. It seems we cant have everything.
