You seem to contradict yourself, and for the record I agree with what your saying mostly. My point is invest in a company that is perhaps undervalued due to market perceptions, incorrect business strategy or other reasons. Then you can hopefully be part of growth and actually have a profit as well as be part of re energised company that employs people, pays taxes, makes things or offers services. The shorters use other peoples shares to manipulate prices for short term gain and generally don't invest for any other reasoning.
