    falling retail meat prices wont help them at all really -them being slow moving, like a blimp or the Titanic, their competitors will have cheaper cuts quicker -sure its high quality so price not the be all and end all, but generally it is also relevant one would think. mind you I hear Wagyu is holding up pretty well.

    For years now I believe that AAC have masked the relatively poor financial performance of their fancy meat trade (and the feedlots to some extent),by selling their own stock to those divisions at a discount to what they would have got elsewhere. It would spoil the value adding narrative if anything different were to happen!
