River capital. My thoughts on a PAC takeover.
Paid approximately $75mil for 19+%.
Probably be able to get the balance for another $400mil. $10/share. Total cost $475mil.
Scenario 1. Close down the business and sell off the parts. Could possibly get $600mil.
Scenario 2. Trim down management/directors etc and save possibly in excess of $5mil a year. That would leave PBT of $55mil on next year’s estimates.
Scenario 3. Eliminate management costs entirely. Sell off some of the assets. GQG probably first to go which would recoup $175mil approx quickly. Pick the eyes out of the balance to keep that would compliment their current portfolio and sell off the balance.
All very good outcomes in my opinion.
