As I say, very negative.
Emphasis at present is on exploration - consistently achieving 100 gAuEq x m drill intercepts.
However re permits to mine
1. Apollo is ~ 55km from CBD - contingent freehold footprint is 300 Ha = 3 sq km. ~ 3 x1 km - adjacent forest areas and small farms.
2. Fosterville ~ 130km from CBD - footprint is ~ 7 x 1 km - adjacent forest, Sugarloaf Nature Reserve and Campaspe R.
3. Ford's You Yangs proving ground is ~50 km from CBD - with adjacent quarry footprint is ~ 8 x 3 km - adjacent Regional Park.
There are sure to be other interesting comparisons - factor in royalty and taxes paid by an operation like Fosterville, and the huge importance of the Antimony which is a Critical Metal in US, Canada, EU and Australia.
So my view is that your FOMO due to mining aversion is unfounded - but thanks anyway. As often a contrarian view only helps to crystalise the mainstream view going forward.
