And what happens if IG keeps selling? SH funds (ie ALK cash reserves) provide him with greater liquidity and enable him to exit at better prices? That’s a huge no no from a ethics and regulatory perspective. It’s just not feasible.
I don’t support the idea ALK of buy backs but I especially don’t support them if he keeps selling. The only way in which this can happen is if he releases a statement indicating he’s done selling and that he’ll abide by the buyback blackout rules.
Let him keep selling and keep depressing the price. If SH believe there’s genuine value down here, then buy his stock on the cheap. His loss is our gain. Of course this assumes he’s not selling for nefarious reasons.
