They did the same thing with SYR a few years ago and rode it into the ground (via lending out to shorters) to only fill their boots at knock down prices and then the Shorters become Long all the way up again...
Could not be bothered to show this via previous announcements, broker data and short reports but it did happen and I am sure a few people will remember!
