This is the second change notice in past two months notifying a reduction in their holding. They have reduced their holding by 33% during this time.
This latest trade reduces their ownership by 16.2% to 5.36%. Interestingly 64% of all sell side transactions were made on the two days following the trading update. Given trading volumes today and past two days, this sell down may have finished for the time being.
Perennial have been long term holders. Alliance is still one of the top ten holdings, listed 3rd in their Smaller Companies Trust, Perennial Monthly Report June 2023, representing 4.6% of that portfolio before this last notice. Does this signal a change in their conviction or are they selling on good news before the FY23 results release?
