Some HC posters choose to follow my posts- but honestly- surely they have worked out by now that I am a pretty average investor.
My strategy for about 18 months was- buy whichever of 6 banks happens to be cheap at any given moment- depending on the macro. The assumption was that the 6 banks are about the same and that SPs reflect any differences- something like that. It worked until the second time I bought BOQ. Now I know the flaw in that assumption.
A dog stock.
A silly strategy- but diversification is saving the day- this would have to fall a heap yet before it really hurts. Perhaps that is the art to investing- make mistakes but do not make fatal mistakes- learn and move forward.
From here- collect dividends- trust that management will eventually get it right- the decrease in FTE and leases is a step in the right direction- continue to do that. Overall, as a sector, financials are doing well for me- but still heaps to learn.
Learning- trying to manage individual stocks and sectors in proportion to the size of the overall portfolio.
