Dont forget the second hurdle that ALSO has to be crossed at a SOA meeting
More than 50% of shareholders (not shares) voting ( 1 HIN = 1 vote) at SOA meeting must be in favour.
As you say, GR along with others may have sufficient votes to control SOA meeting (ie block deal),
but dont discount what the nearly 20k small retail shareholders (even though they control <5% or shares) might produce as outcome (to block SOA deal) should they be longtime holders and loyal to LTR carrying on to be a Li producer and the likely future financial rewards.
It may well that the big end of town has desires ..... but the ‘little people’ are the ones who ultimately stop the ‘buccaneers’ from commandeering the LTR ship.
Its certainly feasibe/plausible .... I read a report of a SOA that was blocked..
99.5% of the shares held by a few top shareholders ALL YES
0.5% of shares held by a several thousand of tiny holders STRONGLY NO as they felt they were being ‘sold out’.
Outcome. .. SOA Failed to pass.
