i thought what you were thinking too. but the public statement by HPPL says it all. they would not go to the effort of saying anything if they were not serious..
That said. I still would not give them one single share. They're not dumbasses and if you hand it to them on a plate, they'll leave you to wash the dishes.
My gut tells me the exxon/gm jv is getting set elsewhere...where there is a bigger deposit...and they will leave this alone.
