Hidden treasure $$$ MTB will re rate

According to a recent article on * Mining, China has announced plans to restrict exports of germanium and gallium, two metals that are critical components in semiconductor chips, the building blocks of the technology used in IT, smartphones, computers, EVs and military applications like radars, lasers and spy satellites.
The move is expected to enhance demand and pricing for germanium and gallium1.
The market price of germanium is currently around US$2,450/kg and gallium is around US$230/kg2. The same article suggests that ASX companies may hold hidden treasure in these metals 1.

Another article on Bloomberg reports that gallium prices have already jumped by 27% to $326 a kilogram as buyers are seeking to shore up supplies before the export controls kick in next month 3. Germanium, which is also subject to the restrictions, saw a much smaller impact, rising 1.9%
