If Australia was to ban shorting that would put it out of step with every other stock exchange in the world. Not going to happen.
AVZ is in trouble due to corruption in the DRC Government, confiscation of mining licenses and collusion between the DRC Gov and the Chinese. Nothing to do with shorting. The initial problem was caused here in Aus by individuals pumping and dumping the "Monster of Manano"
