One thing that Warren Buffett says, is that the market is usually wrong, which is how he is able to buy undervalued stocks. We all instinctively know this to be true. It is why we are here.
The important question is whether a stock is over valued or under valued. And here is where it gets really interesting, because the answer usually depends on things we don't know, many of which haven't even happened yet.
