I have probably interpreted this wrong but the first thing I want to say is KUDOS to the team for making these buys and sells so pretty to look at. It's a nice change from constant black and white I think more should take this sophisticated approach
3 real things stand out for me here
1) End of Day Balance is Higher than where it started. Ie they have a net position larger than where they started off at.
2)
BORROWS of large quantity have undisclosed pricing, but we can use the chart for a rough idea. It's really the BORROWS that are most vague
3) Any return of borrows, or any SELLS are such

uncharacteristic for this boutique firm handling sophisticated money
These 2 for me are telling the tale.
IF I WAS JP MORGAN I would NOT be literally shorting at 42.5c to 43.5c when that has been a good level in the past. Noted all the transactions for 23rd Jan, all are small except for the 4M borrow. Speaking of, there are 7.5M units that have been borrowed....That's a nice way to get the show on the road as volume starts covering creating that short trap rally.
IF these guys are ADDING shares LONG, so that they can loan them out for borrowing purposes YOU DO NOT go LONG if they're trying to make this tank. You do that if you wanna TRAP shortsellers and create a squeeze tripling your cash on the loans, the borrows and the actual equity being traded and perhaps a quad smack of profits as they make on broker fees too. Amongst other things like handling a number of assets... all designed for the average mom/pop to be the bread.
They are scooping size to control depth and manipulate prices, create bear traps so the loaning of shares can be called back as they squeeze prices higher. I experienced it first hand as they margin called me out of a winning thesis only to take it exactly where I suspected, leaving mass profits and booking an ugly L instead.
LESSON learnt is on my entry they are usually too early, so I needed to size it down to avoid margin calls. Other lesson is scaling into the position
The chart analysis below was still done DURING market hours and infact closed higher, producing a better candlestick at what I deem to be a KEY LEVEL. Shorts are a simple creature to trap. All they need to see is shortseller data increasing, yet shorting INTO support is a sure way to blow up.
Either wait on the breakdown, or don't trade it. We await news this week Happy Long Weekend
