I think any reasonably sophisticated investor these days use a Buy Sell Buy strategy when they are building up a position. This is a good way to reduce your average cost.

I recall a couple years ago during covid Australian Super did sell down a bit of PLS but that was only to manage its cash outflows. It does happen in Super industry when Mums and Dads go in risk off mode (e.g during Covid). Other than that Aus Super has been pretty steady
