The principle driver behind the Biohub promotor died about November 2022. It is not clear online what has happened to the design consultancy business she ran. It looks as if offshore (Asian) interests may now own 26% of that business. As I understand things, the Biohub project has been funded. If the construction occurs during the next few months, there is the prospect of the capital being repaid. I have seen somewhere in my ‘meandering research’ that the Biohub apparently will have a capital value of $36m due to its future revenue streams. If River Capital have been able to verify the actual construction and the basis of the build funding, there may be a case that the $5m debt is repaid. If I read the original slides on the Biohub correctly, it suggests that LPE may receive revenue from the energy output from the biohub on an ongoing basis. All this needs to be clarified over the next 9 months. there is apparantly a biohub at Mackay Queensland.
