The current board will have reasons for having the CEO on extended leave. The real question is likely to be the financial cost to LPE of the cessation of employment. My guess is their could be a legal / employment dispute in the absence of evidence of malfeasance. These things take time to resolve.
The good thing is their is a cornerstone investor on board who sees the potential.
Stan (director) with his industry background / connections should be able to guide the key decisions like new CEO and marketing strategy.
