Why would he assume GG holds half of the ADRs? Pretty sure GG holds most of his shares directly on the ASX. Many reasons to hold directly on ASX, especially with the ADR annual fee that was, at price lows, about a 1 percent annual surcharge on holding.
Easy enough for an American to buy and hold MSB directly, as I recently learned.
