Somers took out Thorn by selling its commercial loan book to Resimac and trousered the leftover cash. Quite possibly has a plan to get Resimac and MME together - commercial and consumer finance powerhouse.......and then there's Humm, with a wildly successful and well managed commercial loan portfolio which is growing exponentially, while it conducts a buyback and its founder / Chairman AA appears to be trying to resist Somers building a larger stake.
