In reference to those selling to Futureworld, why would you sell now?
High conviction holders must surely own pretty much all of the shares by now. It’s hard to see who would be selling late in the cycle having held all the way through the pain of the two year interest rate tightening cycle.
Australian small resources are down 70% from 2022, sitting at cyclical lows.
The first interest rate cuts will fire up the small cap sector, lead by companies with good projects. Rerating of 100% to 200% is on the cards just due to sentiment change.
Back to my point, if you had held this long into the cycle with the recovery likely in the next 12 months, why would anyone sell now?
