if you think anyone in govt is going to hold corporates accountable for anything, then you are going to be hugely dissapointed
IF anything is ever done, the regulator will will hire one of the big consultancies to advise how if there is any malfeasance and how to prevent that.....and these same consultancies will be advising those same recalcitrants why they actions are visible and how to avoid ever being caught up in any potential remediation action being proposed
the public service has been hollowed out and what remains are people highly dependent on consultants to advise them on everything including.......none of the political parties will stop this as these consultancies and bodies are their retirement plans........AUKUS is a huge transfer of funds from taxpayers to corporates & their political mates with very little benefit for the public and if this hair brain crazy nuclear power ever sees the light of day in Australia, it will be another transfer of 10s of billions over 2-3 decades for no benefit for taxpayers
