No I doubt it.
I can't see COF being taken over by ECF, it's nearly 4 times it's size & ECF's properties aren't as high tiered enough for COF to be interested in them.
Both REITS have BS issues, ECF is going to have a rights issue by the looks of it to lower it's leverage. COF would need to do the same to buy ECF, that would be horrible at this discount to NTA
The Lederer Group has been taking substantial stakes in a number of REITS, I think it's just a rotational play at the bottom of the cycle.
