I didn't expect COF share price to rise so quickly after buying Ex-div at $1.10, offloaded at $1.17 to bring the average share price holding down, and brought the position back to 3.5%
The key in my opinion, is to get one's average cost price down over time, without totally blowing up the SIZE of the position (don't be a pig!!)
Happy now and will squat until near end of march when the next dividend occurs. Review share price then.
Alternatively if share price drops below $1.10 between then, I will consider adding again.
Average share price paid is $1.15 (on top of around 5 quarterly dividends paid so far). So dividends included I am 'in the money' even though last traded share price is $1.13
