The market just doesn't like Challenger, never really has in the past 10 years despite all the supposed tailwinds. One of the learned posters here @madamswer once said I recall that the company takes one step forward and two steps back all the time. There is always some issue holding it back at any given time. It really should be flying. Overhang of stock from Apollo apparently is weighing on the SP this time, but once that is resolved there will be some new anchoring factor I'm sure. I too, only hold for the dividend but unlike you, I'm way underwater on buy cost sadly. Bought 10 years ago and have stupidly held since in the hope one day the market will rerate or it will be gobbled up. Not so lucky.
