I would suggest L1 is assisting some entity buy an initial stake to launch a bid from … then L1 capitalises on the remainder of shares at the takeover price. They possibly have already signed agreements.
@Joelstar, @speculator101 I recollect L1 may have done something similar in another bid in the gold space, RMS, WGX bid comes to mind ? … your memory is probably better than mine.
