Unfortunately following the ‘big money’ may not be the end all/ be all, as per the $20 and $16 CRs, that aside lex, it needs to be qualified; are these entities long term holders OR entities that will buy low, sell high and repeat, SIO for example should have made some serious money from this stock yet have a far lower holding then they currently have.
There is always some entity that is ‘selling’ down that contributes to suppressing the sp, most notably starting from Star Bright exiting, disinvestment of the Vaccine R&D should have been the turning point where the Company turned its fortune around.
Most ironic is that if RIs had followed Rattys lead and sold out @$30 or so would they have been far better off, especially re-entering after the near collapse of this Company. Rattys disinvestment, arguably, most certainly under the ‘smart money category.
These entities do not need this Company to successfully reach commercialisation, all they need need is enough ‘positive’ announcements to sell into to make their profits, successful commercialisation will be the cream, as per SIO. Successful commercialisation, that will go beyond the CardioCel example, ‘ pure cream’ for them.
As much as the sp is at the ‘mercy’ of these entities they do provide that ‘life saving’ injection of funding, where it may fall apart is that the Company does not fully utilise that funding, most especially as per last two years. The Company should most certainly be ‘batting’ at $30 plus, that it is at a third of that sp is a huge failure, Imo.
Rather than ‘very happy days’ ahead it should be one of ‘tempered’ expectations of the days/year/s ahead. Most graphic example of this is the challenge Anteris face with its main Competitor; Edwardes Life Sciences, not only is its footprint in this field gigantic it will spend 1 billion dollars alone in R&D expenditure to maintain that presence, that is the reality.
For this Company to ‘kick off’ it will virtually need a blank cheque, will a ‘cheque’ of 100 million dollars US do the ‘trick’?, will see soon enough.
Imho, not advice.
