Well at least we know where the buying pressure was coming from and they love a buyback strategy as it gives them a low support . I guess it will lead to all sorts of shorting games , chasing franking etc when they decide to exit as they do when they decide Insurance sector play is not for them ? . They will always hold some as part of diversified portfolios and with strong US currency it may also be a currency game many funds are playing as well awaiting what is actually happening with USA politics .

When / if they decide to exit it won't be pretty depending of how they choose to do so.
