As I understand it a 10% holding (which Golden Crane Holdings is a whisper away from) means "A person who has a greater than 10% shareholding interest in an ASX-listed company will be able to prevent a majority shareholder from moving to 100% ownership through compulsory acquisition, because the compulsory acquisition threshold is set at 90%"

And further at a 20% holding "A person cannot acquire a ‘relevant interest’ in a company’s shares if it would result in that person’s or someone else’s ‘voting power’ in the company increasing from 20% or below to more than 20%, or increasing from a starting point that is above 20% and below 90%, unless the acquisition occurs via a specified exception (such as a takeover bid, scheme of arrangement or with target shareholder approval)."

I am presuming that we have people on this forum with experience and or professional backgrounds who can elaborate on this, however the fact that Golden Crane Holdings has increased it's stake in HRZ encourages me to think that up until that holding reaches 20% we are not looking at a takeover etc as listed by the Allens Handbook at this stage. Encouraging interest imvho, esp.
