RFJ's announcement earlier this week about covid vaccines for kids & pregnant women is going to reduce already low levels of vaccine take-up in the US, and that was a major contributor to the US results (45% for FY24 & 51% for 1H25), and even with THRIV, it seems that this category that seems to have fueled the growth in FY23 & FY24 may be on the decline.
You'd hope that even if people don't take the covid vaccine, they will take Shingles, RSV, Pneumococcal, but given the measles outbreak and kids dying, it still seems that the MAGA/MAHA (want to be scientists) influences seem to be in the ascendency.
Add to that, the fact that the board would entertain a $35m bid for the Aus business, and you'd have to wonder about their judgement.....expect further tax loss selling over the next few weeks, but at least there is a floor there at ~5.6c (although there are some large-ish holders including the Guild Group who you'd imagine are not going to be happy about getting 5c on their ~15c investment, and then have a big corporate come in and ramp up all the fees for Aus pharmacies)
