I have a different view. I do think it is in everyone's best interest (meaning HL and K) to negotiate here. They will most surely be negotiating as we speak, and have probably been for a while.
In that context, given that 6.6 / 6.7 has been the offer that made CAML fold, and given that HL have been buying a bit more at those prices yesterday, it is fair to assume that the outcome of the HL-K negotiation might be at least slightly north of 6.7. Possibly 7.0, or between 6.8 and 7.0 (but this is more speculative). >7.0 might break the deal, so the raise will likely be moderate.
As to the fact that K will need to top up all investors accepting their offer if they agree >6.7 with HL, yes of course, but this is a well known part of the game which has surely been planned for by K. They have had weeks to witness HL and understand where this is heading. They won't be surprised.
All in all, we all might have a little bit more to gain here. This is why I am, for now, doing nothing.
