Interesting! I just got off a plane and read the ANN. I think he’ll be known as “Mr Yee Haa” from now on! If his confidence is infectious it might put a bit of a spark in the SP.
Looking at the bigger picture, yes I am sure there is some geopolitics playing out in this. Yes, the US are shelling out $500 million but STH Africa is also invested and China. STH Africa is more closely aligned to Russia/China than the USA so watch this space. Could be fireworks.
