if the price is $1 at start and close, but during the day it goes to .5 and 1.5 then you only see $1 average, not what is actually going on i.e. there is movement. same with volume at each price, could be no volume that makes a big move or huge volume and little movement.
all I'm saying is that you don't see the true picture of not looking closely
