I’m sure you’ll be pleased to know that the government is in the market to increase the national stockpile of antivirals. We are deeply engaged in negotiations with GSK, which produces Relenza, the other antiviral, which we believe is likely to be effective against a pandemic flu strain and we are hoping soon to be able to lift our antiviral stockpile to such a state of capacity that we can treat well over 25 per cent of the population if necessary. The Government is currently negotiating with the UK-based pharmaceutical company, GSK, to purchase enough Relenza from its reopened plant in Melbourne to bring the anti-viral stockpile up to the World Health Organisation recommended level of treatment for a quarter of the population.

Be interesting to watch unfold. Some say positive announcement within two weeks. They have previoulsy been right.
