bitluck,
""why is it nobody is willing to acquire a 20% stake in the company given the actual circumstances of a cap raise at 1c? ""
Have you heard the term - BUY WHEN NOBODY WANTS THEM AND SELL WHEN EVERYONE WANTS THEM.
Over the years I have witnessed many stocks get sold down to very low levels because of numerous reasons only to rebound to previous highs.
I remember SBM being a 5 dollar stock and years later trading as low as 10c. It dropped because the golds price dropped making their operation
non profitable. Instos and retail investors could not sell them quick enough . You could not given them away at 15c because everyone thought they would not be around in 6 months time.
To cut a long story short the gold price recovered and the share price went from 10c in Oct 2014 to almost 3 dollars less then 2 years later. It then climbed as high as 5 dollars at the start of this year. Not a bad percentage rise for those brave enough to swim against the stream.
This was the stock that nobody wanted . There were some who took the chance when SBM was at it's worst and most vulnerable. Needless to say they did very well if they would have sat with their investment.
In 1 to 2 years time we may all reflect what might have been with VRC. We might be thinking what a wonderful opportunity we had to take a chance and seize the opportunity to acquire stock as cheap as 1c. I use the word MIGHT because at the end of the day who really knows . Those investors who bought into SBM when NOBODY wanted them, certainly did not know with any certainty. If VRC was a certainty you wouldn't have the luxury of buying them now at 1c.
But here is what we do know. The Chairman of this company is prepared to commit an additional 700,000 dollars into this venture. What compels him to do that when NOBODY, as you have stated wants to buy them. Food for thought !!
I urge you now to have a look at a chart on how Telstra Corp. has performed since listing on the ASX. I was told at the time to BUY as many as I could get my hands on because it would eventually be a one hundred dollar stock. IT WAS A CERTAINTY.
You have a good weekend.
Cheers.
