Only CY knows the true reason, but i can say that he doesn t do anything for the fun of it.
If some 30 yr ago ,you were in real estate and bought 10 acres of land on the beach front how would you feel today if you can subdivide the land ?
We worry about the SP today .We get sick of waiting and sell for a song.
China got good long sight(decades)for their projects.
What does it cost to hold ORM tenements for an unknown period of time ?
I m no geologist to tell you whether there is definite REE or other minerals on this land or not.I leave it to you to have a guess.
Meanwhile ,is it possible for "ORM " as a company to build a refinery not just for itself but also for the neighboring ARU,or NTU to share . Own The refinery and name yr price .
It is easier to buy an established company than to start a fresh. IMO, ORM was cheap enough for this purpose.
All of this is speculation.
I like to hear Conglin Yue or his Mrs Yue ( put on the board of ORM for a purpose) to tell me, as a shareholder, what the ORM is for the future .
CY have the control even if he does not fully own ORM as yet.
