It's natural that when recent abnormal price action clearly favours the wallets of recipients of these options, some conspiracy theories will arise.
I don't think anyone is doubting the nature of the options themselves, but the nature of the drop and now seeming subsequent return in price, conveniently giving the oppies an excellent exercise price, does seem quite convenient.
Personally I just think it's luck, as I'm generally a trusting person, but can certainly understand where people are coming from
