I was thinking the same thing. Probably tax purpose (not to lock in losses) but to pay a tax bill etc. (It wasnt in the 2020 FY so not a wash sale).
We just sold our small DEG holding in the new FY to kick the can down the road, to buy more EPM, it was the longest week trying not to sell in the 2020 FY.
What was odd was that drop the other day was 7.3M sold by one seller. So actually I don't think seller was Dale, but him selling his 3M might have been over the previous trading days, and probably got another holder unnerved.
