"After all, the time to buy was back in Jan/Feb of this year when the price was at 23c or so."

Check out ASX release dated 29/03/2016. He's bought $4 million odd of a combination of HAV & HAVO.

Also see ASX release dated 17/08/2016, where he's sold approx. $650,000 worth of options in order to get an institution on board (see ASX release dated 29/08/2016)

Instead of having huge amounts of options/performance rights gifted to him as per other ASX listed companies (see AGS as an example), he's spending real, significant amounts of money to acquire his stake. (7 or 8 million dollars in the past year alone!)

Throw in the fact that his remuneration is modest compared to peers, and Giles is a model of how this sector should work.

And a big thanks to management for not blowing out the share base. My first buy was around $1.30ish. Fast forward a decade, and I think I'm in with a good shot of actually seeing that again sometime in 2017

PS: As for buying on market, one of the issues with HAV is that it's very hard for anyone to accumulate a large stake. Same with selling. If anyone wants out, the demand is just not there. So these orderly transactions do everyone a favour.
