Ok - I have sussed it out. Charles Walker has indeed increased his holdings substantially here - from 5.8m to 22.6m.
The announcement is correct - no typo. He has both increased his holdings to 22.6m and converted his 25m options. Essentially, he took some of that free money (i.e. sold a minority of his newly converted shares) but also ensured his exposure in the company was substantially increased - win/win for him.
So announcement is a net positive for me. I wish I was in as lucky a position.
