I don't discount speed-cast but put very, very little weight on it.

So far the companies record on product, development and revenue has been... well, not spectacular. I wont spell out all the disappointments, but suffice to say - to hinge things all on the speedtalk deal is a bit simplistic I think.

Just like buying on Zipt 1.0 doing it big on 2G and exploiting that untapped market. That did't work out so well, then the promise that Zipt 2.0 with ambassadors interaction etc, in progress but yet to be proven.

Given the latest app updates have the option to disable the low bandwith calling, I would be very concerned that this is perhaps an admission that the quality at the 2G and satellite type links is actually not that crash hot after all.. so SpeedTalk users might like and pay for it, or they might try it and think I'm not paying for this.

At which point, its back to the start.
