A company that paid such dividends as TER and with a policy of Q dividends, seeking funds due to lack of funds via a cr would make it the laughing stock of the year. If a cr was sought sp would fall below 20c and any credibility that management may have would be flushed down the toilet. So lets hope the notion of a cr for 'lack of funds' reasons is put 6ft under.

As for another mine purchase, would it not seem rather odd to offload one asset only to buy another asset? However, it sounds like a good idea if it's to allow another mine development to alleviate fears of a 'short' existing mine - however, coal seems to be on the nose.

Springsure with an estimated 191.5 Mt coal resource would certainly extend TER's operational life if fully developed. At a guess that may be what TER is planning to do - perhaps the reason to offload an existing offshore asset and use funds accordingly. If that were to happen, doubt sp would remain at such low levels as current for much longer.
