I think this mornings announcement was a good example of the LIC management doing the right thing in the modern era for these vehicles. Essentially every share they buy up this way benefits all of us. Its good capital management and also makes all our shares underlying NTA go up a little bit. Its probably also the exact reason why I don't believe your hypothesis of the share price being related to MG support makes any sense actually I am sure the company has far more resources to do this. They could buy back 10% at say a discount of 15% that a good deal for all of us.

Glad we all benefitted and not only a director. I support buybacks as part of the arsenal to improve the wealth of all shareholders.
