Hypothetical Christmas holiday question relating to my abovelinked post: If you won $50,000 on a lottery scratchy ticket, would you then use the entire winnings to buy Powerball tickets in a draw to win $1,000,000?
Because 3 years later that's what I see our strategy to have been.
We walked away from a sure $50k/600k oz for a chance to win the lotto of $1M/4M oz.
Is this prudent management?
Is this prudent for long term shareholder value?
Or is this gambling?
I guess when gambling with other peoples money it doesn't matter. Lose the gamble and get paid... win the gamble and get paid anyway...
