In a sense it is neither negative nor positive - I think the announcement is good since it is being very clear. I think Hopper and Imugene want the market and us not to make false assumptions and join the dots in a different direction.
Notice 1. Hopper is at pains to say he is committed to Imugene and cites personal circumstances.
“As the Founder and Executive Chairman of the Company, I am intensely committed to Imugene and I am very excited about its long term prospects. The arrangement relates to a portion of my exposure to Imugene and has become necessary due to my personal circumstances. I see the value of my holding as a whole tied to the future of the company and look forward to continuing to drive success for the company and its shareholders.”
And 2. These will not be used for three years...
There are no share price triggers associated with the Funding Arrangement that could result in margin calls or mandatory early repayment.
