Just a small correction, but he sold last week, not this week. He himself / his wife could have timed his sell better had they wanted to profit.
Not sure how many shares he holds in his other companies but if it was me and I was selling less than 3.4% of what might make me a mozta, maybe I wouldn't care either abt 14M shares or frankly even think abt the vulnerabilities of others if the tax office was breathing down my neck.
Fact is, there will be some that will say he sold because crap results are coming, CR etc etc.
Same people might tell you in a few months if SP rises that he sold to drive SP down so his sophisticated friends could benefit at the expense of retail holders.
Most of the complaints are aimed at blaming someone else for an investment that the shareholder is actually in control off. No one else authorises the buy, sell or hold of the investment. Company presentations all have a disclaimer abt investment advice for a reason.
I understand why people might be upset, but unfortunately, many complaining seem to also have expectations not aligned with the risk undertaken. This is a high-risk game. Its just as easy to win big or go home with nothing in your pockets.
