I have never found tax loss selling to ever be controversial.
The Flannery's like most investors have probably made some huge killings in the market (clearly not from AUK) and want to defray the tax.
I suspect I was the buyer as some large lines fell in my lap at/below 2.5c. I am happy with this punt, knowing it could either be a dead peking duck or another 5-10 bag. Scored quite a few of the latter this year, so not feeling too glum about unloved AUK.
This company's destiny is in the hands of influencers and their success at using online tools to drive sales. I preferred the old B&M model which was just hitting break even, but COVID put a swift end to that.
Tomorrow is another year. I look forward to it.
