Has anyone gotten a call from the Investor Relations team at VGI recently? I got a call this morning, it was them just wanting to give shareholders an update, as well as check-in and suss out how we're feeling in times of extreme market volatility. Unfortunately I was only able to have a super brief chat as I was at work.
It was a nice touch, particularly as they don't have any incentive to go to this extent to ensure shareholders in a closed fund are happy. Not sure what to make of it though, if I was to step back and take a holistic view. Could it possibly be interpreted as a sign of nervousness from the VGI team, especially now that VG1 has dropped below it's listing price of $2? Another possibility is that they may have wanted to suss out if there was appetite for another investment product that caters to the current times, although you'd have to a brave fund manager to launch a new product now.
